- Polestar
The Recharge and the Polestar are both plug-in hybrid trims eligible for local and federal tax credits in your state. They combine a four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, churning out up to 415 horsepower. Every trim enjoys eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Powertrain Architecture
Differences in powertrain architecture are a major characteristic that distinguish the Volvo S60's trim levels. T5, T6 and T8 are the Volvo names for existing powertrain architecture. Both T5 and T6 entail a torquey 2.0-liter I4. The T5 is turbocharged, while the T6 combines turbocharging with supercharging. The T8 refers to the T6 engine paired to a high-output electric motor.
